Yes — £5 million public liability and full employer's liability. Certificate available on request. For tree surgery work we carry the additional insurance the Arboricultural Association requires.
Birds can be nesting in any hedgerow between 1 March and 31 August. We always check before cutting and avoid disturbing active nests — it's an offence under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. We'll usually recommend a late-August or autumn cut for thick hedges and a light winter trim for shaping.
